Great Green - Omega Seamaster 300

For more than 60 years, it has been designed to accompany mankind in underwater explorations and this year, the Omega Seamaster 300 presents an even more "precious" charm with a yellow gold case and a green malachite dial. In 1957, Omega simultaneously launched three products that quickly became must-haves for watches: the Speedmaster, the Railway Stationmaster and the Seamaster 300. The latter, also known as the CK2913 series, is, as the name suggests, designed for underwater diving and can withstand dives up to 300 meters since its launch. More than half a century later, this watch has been reworked and reintegrated into the collections of the Biel/Bienne-based watchmaker. In 2019 the Seamaster 300 lives in green, a color synonymous with nature that sometimes dominates the usual blue tones of the sea and is best known for its malachite dial.

With its outstanding water resistance up to 300 meters, this new interpretation of the famous 1957 watch is still designed for exploring the deep seabed, with a 41mm yellow gold case, screw-down crown and transparent case back. The metal case is topped by a green ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel, including a ceramic gold thulium diving scale. It houses the Omega caliber 8913, an automatic movement equipped with a co-axial escapement, two barrels and a main chronograph. On the dial, it powers the basic time information, including hours, minutes and central seconds, and offers a 60-hour power reserve.

The surface of this Omega is composed of a disk of malachite, an intense green mineral with a marble pattern of similar hue. Echoing the yellow glow of the case, the broad arrow-style hands are also made of yellow gold, as are the index markers and Arabic numerals, with beige Super-LumiNova highlighting the vintage style of the watch.
